Hands flying on a keyboard. Feet whirling across a stage. A blur of mallets in action. Summer at Orchestra Hall 2023 is four weeks of programming celebrating motion. Minnesota Orchestra Creative Partner and pianist Jon Kimura Parker returns alongside our summer Artist in Residence, the pioneering breaking collective BRKFST Dance Company, to share a summer of music that moves us.
Like the sweeping gestures of a dancer to a butterfly’s meandering to the triumphant flight of a legendary firebird, this summer will stir your mind, body and spirit.
